This law focuses on combating climate change and strengthening resilience to its effects. Promulgated and published in the Journal Officiel on August 24, 2021, this law anchors ecology in our society : in public services, in our children&#8217;s education, in our urban planning, in our travel, in our consumption patterns and in our justice sdervice.<\/p>\n<p><em>Source : French <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecologie.gouv.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Ecological Transition<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>ECT implements the principles enshrined of the law in the field :&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"961\" data-end=\"1134\"><strong data-start=\"961\" data-end=\"992\">Limit artificialization<\/strong>: rehabilitating brownfield sites and degraded land by giving them a new purpose.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1137\" data-end=\"1320\"><strong data-start=\"1137\" data-end=\"1172\">Promote the circular economy <\/strong>: Promoting the circular economy: reusing excavated soil from local construction sites to develop parks, natural spaces, agricultural land, or public facilities<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1323\" data-end=\"1495\"><strong>Strengthening the resilience of territories<\/strong> : creating landscapes that support biodiversity, regulate rainwater, and improve the living environment.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1679\"><strong data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1530\">Involving local&nbsp;stakeholders<\/strong> : co-developing projects with local authorities, associations, and citizens to meet local needs while respecting the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Climate and Resilience Law is the result of the work of the Citizens&#8217; Climate Convention.
