AFNOR has created a voluntary standard to encourage organizations to commit to biodiversity. The NF X32-001 standard “Organizations’ Biodiversity Approach” is intended at all types of organization. It aims to provide a tool  tailored to biodiversity issues, including conservation, restoration and sustainable use. The methodology enables organizations to analyze their impact on biodiversity, establish an action strategy, monitor its implementation, evaluate it and incorporate it into a process of improvement. ECT has formalized its various biodiversity issues at all levels of the value chain, by identifying the dependencies of our activities on ecosystem services and the impact of our activities on biodiversity erosion factors. Among the five main drivers of erosion, ECT may have an impact on the destruction and fragmentation of habitats and natural environments, water and air pollution, the presence of invasive alien species, and climate change. However, ECT is not concerned with the overexploitation of resources (hunting, fishing, timber, water, etc.) and works to preserve\/restore soil resources. Our biodiversity challenges are an integral part of our environmental challenges.
