This documentary mini-series takes a broad look at excavated soil from the Grand Paris Express construction sites.<\/p>\n<p>The project represents some 45 million tonnes of excavated material. In a series of reports, the journalist sheds light on the management and fate of this spoil.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Episode 1: the Grand Paris Express construction site, with a visit to the tunnel of the future line 16.<\/li>\n<li>Episode 2: heading for the <strong>ECT Center for biological treatment of hydrocarbon-impacted soil, located in La Courneuve (93<\/strong>). The journalist explains the treatment process used to biologically clean up the impacted land.<\/li>\n<li>Episode 3: a trip &#8220;to the center of the earth&#8221; with a visit to Europe&#8217;s largest quarry at Baillet-en-France (95). The galleries are backfilled with some of the GPE&#8217;s soil to make them safer.<\/li>\n<li>Last episode: discovering the &#8220;Cycle Terre&#8221; project, in which ECT is now a partner.
