In the Pas-de-Calais town of Sallaumines, a temporary development project has been launched in the heart of the 13/18 housing estate, in anticipation of the neighborhood’s future redevelopment. At the invitation of the town hall, ECT teams met with pupils from Léon Blum elementary school to introduce them to sustainable development and biodiversity. Schoolchildren, protagonists of their region 23 January 2025 –   60 students from the Léon Blum school planted 700 trees. They were actively involved in the planting of the new Chaussée Brunehaut park. Accompanied by teams from Noeux Environnement, they contributed to the planting of the park, which will include almost 1,500 trees. Wearing aprons and equipped with shovels, the children planted bare-root seedlings. This initiative also gave them a better understanding of ecological environments and biodiversity.
